We meet on various Wednesdays 11.30am

Something which is really lacking in this area is a small arthouse cinema showing films that are often overlooked by the large multiplex cinemas where you can sit in comfort (maybe nursing a cup of tea or glass of wine) and nobody leaps up to leave as soon as the end credits start.

The Cinema Group meets on the various Wednesdays when we watch a film chosen at the previous meeting, often a lesser known film, or one some of us missed first time around, and then discuss the film afterwards.

This is of necessity a small group as although my tv is fairly large, my home is not a cinema and so I can only seat 8 per meeting. We have also started to branch out by going to the special Seniors screenings at Cineworld, Festival Park, Basildon, these are held every Wednesday at 11.30 am. and we go if there is a film which interests us.

Any members of Rayleigh Grange U3A are welcome to join us as I know many people do not like going to the cinema alone, sometimes we will even be having lunch afterwards.

It would probably be a good idea to book beforehand as these events tend to be very popular.
