We now meet on the 4th Thursday 10.00 am (used to be 4th Wednesday)
Our group is a friendly bunch of people that are passionate about birds in particular but also anything in the natural world.
None of us are experts so no-one needs to feel excluded.
We visit a variety of sites, generally RSPB or EWT (Essex Wildlife Trust) and after a hopefully productive bird watching session we would generally finish with some refreshments
(Please do not call us 'Twitchers')
The main thing that our Group Members have in common with each other, is that we all enjoy the peace and quiet of the Countryside and like to identify what we see.
We all have an interest in birds and their behaviour, but it is surprising the number of wild animals and butterflies that we have also seen on our excursions.
It is such a rewarding experience to learn together and we are so lucky to have so many unspoilt areas within easy reach.
Our group has become so popular that we now have a waiting list for new members who wish to join the Group.
This is mainly due to the size of the Hides on the Nature Reserves that we visit.
